The Financial Women’s Association (FWA) has reached a major milestone in fundraising for our nationally acclaimed scholarship, mentoring and summer training programs that have enhanced the lives of nearly 6,000 students and young professionals. On April 23, 2014, the FWA will celebrate the 30th Anniversary Women of the Year Awards during our Annual Dinner at the New York Grand Hyatt, 42nd Street.
This event, attended by more than 500 high-achieving professionals from every sector of the financial world, raises the much-needed funds that allow our organization to continue to prepare high school students for college and college students for the workplace. Last year’s event was a great success, and we are once again hoping that we can count on your company’s support to help us exceed all expectations.
The 2014 extraordinary honorees are:
Vicki L. Fuller
CIO, New York State
Common Retirement Fund
We are well along in planning a great program with remarkable, groundbreaking women. We are proud of all we’ve accomplished since we were founded in 1956, when eight enterprising women on Wall Street met to share professional experiences and further their knowledge. Today, the FWA has more than 850 members worldwide, dedicated to developing future leaders, enhancing the role of women in finance and investing in the community.
Last year, our attendees had a great time—being inspired by our honorees and our remarkable students, as well as seizing invaluable networking opportunities. Please save the date and consider including FWA in your corporate sponsorship plans. Also consider making a deeper impact by serving on our 30th Anniversary Benefit Committee. Enclosed is a reservation card for your convenience. Please respond by November 15th to be included in the promotional materials.
This anniversary celebration will include past and present FWA-sponsored students who have achieved remarkable personal and professional goals as a result of the support of FWA programs, mentors and scholarships. As we look to the future, we are confident that we can continue to prepare young people to succeed in a global marketplace, but can only do so with your support.
By supporting FWA, you are making a profound difference in young lives today—so they can make a difference in the world economy tomorrow.
